DJ A-One - The Drill (DJ Kev Remix)
The Drill is an international chart topping house music record written produced and performed by electronic music pioneer and Israeli-born UK producer Matt Schwartz in mid-2004 for His label Destined Records. He was imitated on numerous occasions firstly by DJs Pakito and Tom Snare. The electro house scene was just beginning to emerge as a musical style at the time and The Drill was the first artist to create a rich, pitched leads sound which started to appear in many electro house compositions. Many new artists emerging in late 2006 (Outwork, Tocadisco, The Egg, etc.), and even already existing ones (Tiesto, Global Deejays, Royal Gigolos) have slowly integrated this style into their remixes by 2006-7.The Drill is considered one of the founders of the 2009 Dutch House movement which sound is based around the same synth riff Matt Schwartz has used on his seminal "The Drill" in 2004 with the addition of a pitch bend.Listen song here:YouTube
