The first, original KillaGraham (killagram). Coming from a
small town in North Carolina, Graham Andrew, or KillaGraham, started his DJ
career as a hip-hop/scratch DJ spinning 12" records on technics turntables
in 2006. Growing up through middle school and high school, KillaGraham was a
part of the school's various bands and orchestras, learned to play various
instruments, and learned how to read and write
music. From there he was scoring his own peices by hand until he learned how to
create electronic music using MIDI notation. In his first year in college,
KillaGraham started creating electronic music that resembled peices that you
might hear in a more cinematic envrionment and peices that would better fit
inside a video game. With the defining influences of his friends as well as the
artists that he listened to, he started moving into all sorts of electronic
music and first became serious about music production in 2008. After various
amounts of expirimentation, in early 2010 one of his friends showed him a genre
of music that was very new to the scene, namely Dubstep. KillaGraham was hooked
and really liked how certain qualities of the style reminded him of the Drum
& Bass and Electro that he was listening to, however, he is not limited to
only this style so expect a lot of different sounds in his DJ sets as well as
in future productions! This year has shown much promise with KillaGraham having
a lot of success in a very short amount of time. He has played as himself and
also as a part of a new project, DEFEP, which includes DallasK, Nymz and Henry
Fong, and he has opened for acts and shared the stage with various artists
including Figure, Tommy Sunshine, Metropolis, Klever, DJ Dan, Porter Robinson,
Skrillex, Zeds Dead, and Plastician. Make sure to check out his latest single,
More Than Anything, included on his new EP forthcoming on Big Fish Recordings
later this year.Listen song here:YouTube
